Free Balochistan Movement in a statement condemned the raid and violence by the Pakistani police on the protest camp of the families of forcibly disappeared persons in Karachi. International community must take notice of the brutal force and violence against the peaceful women and children by Pakistani police in Karachi and should realize that Pakistan has illegally occupied Balochistan and to sustain its illegal occupation Pakistan is resorting to inhuman and brutal voilence against Baloch nation which includes the violations of international human rights and laws.

The spokesperson for the FBM said that the case of Balochistan is similar to that of East Timur which was occupied in 1975 and then forcibly annexed by Indonesia and declared as the 26th province of Indonesia. Indonesia resorted to violence and killed thousands of people in East Timur in order to maintain its occupation. Pakistan has occupied Balochistan the same way in 1948 and to maintain its occupation, Pakistan has been resorting to violence to suppress the voice of the Baloch nation. The spokesperson said that the violence perpetrated by Pakistan includes enforced disappearance of Baloch people, custodial murder and tortures, kill and dump as well as beating and arresting of the Baloch women and children, who peacefully protesting for the recovery of their loved ones.
The spokesperson said that current situation in Balochistan and the oppression of Baloch people by Pakistan calls for an international attention and an intervention in Balochistan to stop Pakistan’s atrocities.
FBM further said when Indonesia declared East Timur as province of Indonesia in 1978 and the then Asutralian Prime Minister Malcom Fraser was the first man who opposed the annexation of East Timur and termed it de facto and later Australian-led peace force intervened and liberated East Timur from Indonesia. The people of Balochistan are also looking towards the international community to act like Malcom Fraser and Australia to intervene in Balochistan to stop Pakistani aggression and atrocities on Baloch people and help to restore freedom and independence of Balochistan
