FBM held a protest on Saturday 26th March before the UK PM House against the forceful occupation of Balochistan by Pakistan. Balochistan was an independent and sovereign state before 27 March 1948. The independence of Balochistan was recognized by the government of Pakistan under a tripartite on 4 august 1947 among Balochistan government, Pakistan and Britain. Britain had already recognized the independence of Balochistan and was obliged under a defense treaty signed between Balochistan and the British in 1854 and amended in 1876 binding the British to protect Balochistan in case of any foreign aggression. However, the British failed to honor the treaty and protect Balochistan when Pakistan attacked Balochistan on 27 March 1948 and occupied Balochistan forcefully.

Baloch as a nation has never accepted this occupation and have been resisting it through different means. As a result Pakistan has been involved in persecution and genocide of Baloch people of Balochistan. Thousands of Baloch are subject to enforced disappearances and murder by Pakistan.
Moreover, Pakistan has been mercilessly plundering and exploiting the resources of Balochistan without the consent and wish of the people of Balochistan.

FBM helد the protest in front of UK PM House to remind the British government and its public about the defense treaty of 1876 and urged them to obey the treaty and come forward to help the independence movement of Balochistan and rectify the mistakes made by their predecessors when an independent country Balochistan was occupied by the newly created state of Pakistan.

A great number of members of FBM including other Baloch and non- Baloch political activists participated in the Protest. They held banners, placards, raised the flag of Balochistan as well as shared Leaflets to the Londoners.
