Iran Committing Baloch Genocide Through Mass Executions: FBM
Share

LONDON: The spokesperson of the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) in a press release said that, under false charges, fabricated crimes and labels of drug trafficking more than twenty-five innocent Baloch people from Iranian-occupied Balochistan were hanged in various Iranian courts over the past two weeks without any fair trial or judicial proceedings.

The spokesperson further mentioned that the hanging of such a large number of ordinary Baloch people under these bogus charges and accusations is, in fact, part of the gradual Baloch genocide that the Iranian occupying state has been carrying out against the Baloch nation since the illegal occupation of Balochistan in 1928.

In the statement, the FBM spokesperson also highlighted that the Iranian occupying state is following a horrific policy of “killing two birds with one stone,” where on one hand, it attempts to convince the world that it is seriously combating drug trafficking and punishing those involved in it, while on the other hand, under the guise of curbing the trafficking of drugs, it is accelerating its strategy of Baloch genocide. This policy is a clear violation of human rights and global values, as Baloch people sentenced to death under the pretext of drug trafficking are denied any fair judicial process or the right to defence. The party spokesperson further added that both occupying forces, Pakistan and Iran, are on the same page when it comes to the genocide of the Baloch nation.

From Central Asia to the borders of Europe, the routes used for drug trafficking are actually protected by the Pakistani military, intelligence agency ISI, Iranian intelligence agencies and the Quds Force of IRGC. These forces protect the drug trade in exchange for regular bribes from global drug dealers and human traffickers using these routes. At the same time, to deceive the international community, they arrest ordinary Baloch citizens and political activists based on their political ideologies and affiliations and sentence them to death through notorious “execution courts.”

The spokesperson of the Free Balochistan Movement added that to stop the Baloch genocide and hold the Iranian and Pakistani occupying states accountable for their crimes against the Baloch nation, it is essential for the civilized nations and institutions of the world to not only provide moral support to the Baloch people in their struggle for freedom but also investigate the matter through their fact-finding missions. They should not rely on the narrative of the Iranian or Pakistani occupiers. Only then will the world realise the seriousness of the situation, in which, under the pretext of combating instability, drug trafficking, and terrorism, the Baloch nation is being subjected to genocide and their political freedoms are being stripped away.
