HELSINKI, 12 August – Free Balochistan Movement held a protest outside the Chinese Embassy in Finland. This demonstration is part of FBM’s ongoing vigil, aiming to underscore the severe human rights abuses in Balochistan and draw attention to the collaborative roles of China, Iran, and Pakistan in the occupied territory.

Key members and position holders of the Free Balochistan Movement addressed the protestors. Their message was clear: China must halt its meddling in the matters of occupied Balochistan and refrain from supporting the Iranian and Pakistani occupying forces in Balochistan.

“Balochistan is currently witnessing a war-like situation, with a full-fledged genocide of the Baloch being perpetrated by Iran and Pakistan. The scale of violations and plundering of Baloch resources is such that the Baloch are even deprived of a drop of clean drinking water. It’s imperative for the international community to recognise the Baloch people’s suffering and press China to stop exacerbating the crisis. Our protest today aims to highlight Chinese interference in Balochistan and its backing of Iran and Pakistan. We also call upon all nations to recognise the sovereignty of Balochistan and the rights of the Baloch people,” Sadiq Raeesani stated while addressing the demonstrators.

He also expressed gratitude to the Afghan and Arab communities who joined the protest against China.

Qadir Athaye from the Afghan community also spoke, emphasizing that China should stop its interference in Balochistan. He urged the global community to acknowledge Balochistan’s sovereignty and assist in halting the Baloch genocide by Iran and Pakistan.

Ibrahim Baloch and other representatives of both the FBM and the Afghan community echoed these sentiments, demanding that China cease its interventions in Balochistan and stop supporting Iran and Pakistan against the Baloch.
